Remember to purchase a Yearbook for EACH of your children. Kids love to sign each others Yearbooks at the end of the school year. Any questions, please contact
Erika Eng or
Megan Hill.
Yearbook Photos
If you have taken any great pictures at school activities this year please remember you can upload them to one of the shared folders on
TreeRing.com. You will need to have already set up an account with school passcode
1014636724843184. There are folders set-up for every teacher and for various clubs and activities. If you share your photos other parents can use them on their custom pages and they might even make it into the Yearbook.
Right now, we could really use current 5th grade photos (5th grade folder) and playground photos (Playground folder) for the Yearbook. If you prefer, you can also send photos directly to the Yearbook Committee at
omsyearbook@gmail.com. Please contact
Erika Eng or
Megan Hill with any questions. Thank you!
Cultural Arts Co-Chair Needed
Do you want to get more involved in the PTA but don't know how? Maybe you want to be on a committee, but aren't exactly sure what they are about. We can help! Each week we will highlight a different committee in need of volunteers in order to give you a deeper understanding of the position and the time commitment it requires. This week we are focusing on the Cultural Arts Committee.
The Cultural Arts Committee aims to enhance our students educational experience and cultural understanding through the performing arts. With teacher input, we plan professional drama, music, and dance performances. Typically shows occur during the school day and the committee strives to present two different assemblies each school year. Past performances have included
The Legend of Sleepy Hollow by GreatWorks Theatre company, Trinity Irish Dancers, traditional Japanese drums provided by Tsukasa Taiko, an ensemble from the Elgin Symphony Orchestra, Mandala Arts South Asian dance,
The Tales of Olympus by American Eagle Productions and
Honest Abe by Face To Face Productions. Make an impact on our kids through the arts! Contact
olivepta@gmail.com to learn more.
Other open Committee Chair positions are: Yearbook Co-Chairs.

Thank You Corner
At Olive-Mary Stitt we have many programs and clubs, and we couldn't do any of it without our amazing volunteers! We would like to send out personal thank you's to some of the people who made our most recent activities a success.
PTA Activity Night Co-Chairs Jen Hasche, Christina Perez and Kris Persons planned three successful activity nights. This year our entertainment acts included BMX bike riding, Bubble Wonders and a game show performance by Brian Wismer. Each of these activity nights were a big hit with the kids. We appreciate all of your hard work making them a success.
Thanks to everyone who attended the PTA sponsored
Wine Tasting Event at Vintages last week. We had 75 people attend this new fundraiser to help raise money for our PTA programs. Special thanks go out to Liz McDonnell who organized and promoted this successful event.
