Safe Drop-off/Pick-up

Just a few reminders to help assist with the safe arrival and departure of our students:

Drop-off/Pick-up Reminders
  • Please be respectful of our staff that is outside during all types of weather to help keep your child(ren) safe. If they are providing you with directions, it is to ensure your safety, the safety of your child(ren), and to keep the process running smoothly for everyone.
  • We appreciate that the line for dropping off or picking up students may become long, particularly on inclement weather days. To ensure the line continues to move smoothly, we ask that you continue to pull all the way forward on the straightaways so that your child(ren) may exit your car on the passenger’s side. Do not stop on the curve near the school to drop off your students. This prevents other cars from getting around you.
  • To prevent traffic from backing up, students may only exit cars when you have stopped in the designated unloading zone (north & south straightaways in the morning and south straightaway in the afternoon). Cars must not be left unattended in this area.
  • If you park in the church parking lot, please accompany your child to school using the sidewalk and designated crosswalks. There are a lot of cars pulling in and out, so we want to ensure that your child arrives safely to the school building.
  • Our crossing guards are an important part of the arrival/dismissal process. Please make sure that you and your child(ren) cross with the crossing guard in the designated crosswalk.
No Left Turn
You should NOT make a left turn out of the Olive parking lot between the hours of 8:30 am - 9:30 am and 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm.

No Cell Phones
It is against the law to use a handheld device while driving. You should not be on your cell phone while in a school zone.

Together we can set a good example as we drive and walk in our school zone area. Thank you for your support!
