Dave Melone, will be retiring at the end of this school year. Dave has been a custodian and Facilities Operations Manager in the district for 31 years, but Olive is where he calls home. Affectionately known as Mr. Dave, he has a major presence in our school community. His cheerful disposition and genuine investment in the school combined with an unwavering dedication to the students, staff, and families at Olive make him second to none. No job or request is ever too big or too small for Mr. Dave. He is just as excited to shovel the snow, as he is to dress up as one of the Character Counts pillars for an assembly or admire a student's work. And although he is looking forward to spending his days on the golf course perfecting his game, he shared that he will also greatly miss the fun and energy of coming to work at Olive each day.
