Lockdown Drill

Next Wednesday, May 13th we will be conducting a practice lockdown drill.  This drill is used when conditions exist outside of the school building that could potentially present a threat to the safety of the students and staff, or a situation inside the building where the school or local emergency responders need to keep students and staff in their classrooms and away from an incident or activity. If students are outside during a lockdown, our crisis plan requires them to move to an alternate safe location.  Our relocation site is Thomas Middle School.  The Arlington Heights Police Department will initiate this drill and will be present to support students and staff to ensure that all procedures are clear.  If you have any questions or concerns about the lockdown drill, please do not hesitate to contact your child's teacher or a building administrator.
