Assistant Principal for 1/2 Day

On Monday, April 17th, Mr. Andrew experienced what it is like to be an Assistant Principal.  He started his day welcoming students exiting their vehicles in the loading zone.  He then made an appearance on morning announcements reminding students to take their time and do their best on MAP testing this week.  It was a busy morning, boxing up materials for UPS and calling UPS to pick them up.  Later, it was off to read to our kindergarteners and have an extra special recess with his 4th-grade class.  Before lunch recess, Mr. Andrew completed a field inspection and determined it was too soggy to open the far field.  He also dropped some extra HOOT tickets off to Mrs. Grimm's class and caught a first grader exceeding expectations and awarded a HOOT ticket!  During lunch, Mr. Andrew joined Ms. Davis in addressing the student council members and the letter they previously submitted with ideas for improving OMS.  Finally, it was time to enjoy a working lunch with a few of his friends in Ms. Davis' office.
