Summer Reading

You probably already know that reading over the summer is important, but did you know that students who continue to read during the summer can grow one academic month, and those that don’t read could lose a month? If you need book recommendations from teachers or students, help finding a structure to help you build reading in to your child’s summer schedule, or incentive programs to motivate your child to pick up a book, check out the link below. “5 Ways to Avoid the Summer Reading Dip” provides links to incredible sites that will help you support your child’s summer reading as well as a list of recommended books from D25’s LMC Directors.
Happy reading this summer!
