Blue Ribbon Celebration Week

Olive-Mary Stitt families, we are ready to celebrate becoming a National Blue Ribbon School! Combining ideas from our students and staff, we are planning a week-long celebration of our schoolwide accomplishment and have an activity planned for each day. Please help us celebrate by reminding your child of each day’s activity and helping your children “dress the part” on Tuesday and Friday.

Monday, November 27th
“We all had a hand in the Blue Ribbon!”
Students & staff will contribute to a whole school craft project.

Tuesday, November 28th
“How BLUE are you?”
Dress in as much blue, in as many shades, as possible!

Wednesday, November 29th
“The writing is on the wall!”
We will create a graffiti wall in celebration of our award.

Thursday, November 30th
“Get your groove on!”
A special guest, Mr. Brian Paruch (a.k.a. Whip) will host the lunch hour with some special tunes!

Friday, December 1st
“Owl of us will gather and celebrate!”
Wear your Just Jump/Blue Ribbon shirt and get ready for an all-school assembly full of surprises to celebrate our important honor.

Want to keep the party going at home?
Here are some ideas for Blue Ribbon fun at home:
*Blue foods and snacks in lunch boxes
*Use blue chalk to decorate your driveway and sidewalk
*Every child deserves a blue ribbon- tell your child(ren) what you believe makes him/her the best!
*Draw and color pictures in many shades of blue
