One Book One School Inspires Creativity at Home

OMS students have shared stories about how they have enjoyed participating in the One Book One School program with their families. Some students were so inspired by ideas in The Nest For Celeste that they designed art projects of their own at home. One second grader, Quin, created his own stuffed Celeste mouse.  Laina, another student in Mrs. Mueller’s class, even made a pocket for Celeste to mimic Joseph’s pocket in the book. Mrs. Mueller modeled those two projects brought together as a cute pocket for the stuffed Celeste. A fifth grader, Nicole, took home some engineering supplies from an activity done in her class to make a woven Celeste basket of her own.
