No School Tomorrow April 3, 2015 

4th Grade girls invited: Wednesday April 8, 2015: The fourth grade girls will have the opportunity to attend the “Linda” program presented by the Robert Crown Health Education Center.  The program will be presented in the Commons at Olive-Mary Stitt School from 7:00 - 8:30 p.m.  Every girl attending must be accompanied by a parent or an adult chaperone. Author Visits:  Attention 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders: Blue Balliet, author of the award winning book Chasing Vermeer, is coming to visit on April 7th! There is a an opportunity to purchase an autographed copy of one of her books and a special challenge/opportunity from Mrs. Nelson and Mrs. Watanuki.  Please use this form to order a copy of the book

South Middle School Visit:  South Middle School is hosting incoming Olive 5th graders on April 14th from 9:20am-10:20a for a student visit.

Cub Scout Recruiting Night: OMS Cub Scout Pack 169 invites all boys currently in Kindergarten through 4th grade to our annual recruiting event! All visiting boys will be able to participate in Olympic-style games and see the fun we have. Excess Funds:  Do you have ideas about how we can spend our PTA excess funds?  Please submit ideas to Michelle Thompson or there is a box in the office.  

Just Move It Challenge:  The annual Just Move It Challenge will be on Saturday, April 11 at South Middle School. Come RUN, WALK, DONATE OR HELP!  Go to http://www.jmichallenge.org for event information and registration.  OMS won the participation trophy last year... So far Olive is in the lead for students registered and staff registered, let's keep those registrations coming! Please click here for more information.

OMS Book Fair: Please join us on Wednesday, April 22 from 6:30-8:30 for the annual book Fair. There will be a great selection of books from Anderson's Book Fair Company. A portion of the sales will go towards future PTA programs. Your child will have an opportunity to preview the book fair and make wish lists during the school day. You will also be able to donate books to your child's classroom. In conjunction with Earth Day and the Earth Fair, please consider donating gently used books which will be given to Andrea's Angels.

Earth FairThe Ecology Club is proud to present our annual big event - Earth Fair. On Wednesday, April 22 from 6:30-8:00 pm, grab your family and join us at OMS to learn about recycling, play fun games, recycle spirit wear, win prizes, visit with outside vendors and be part of the GREEN action here at OMS. If you would like a table at the Earth Fair, want to volunteer at the Earth Fair or simply have questions, you may contact Judi Schuch or Zhaneta Roura. Don't miss this event!

Earth Day Fair Science Club Challenge: Create a glider using materials retrieved from your recycling bin. Bring your plane to the Earth Day Fair on April 22 where it will be evaluated for craftsmanship, creativity, and accuracy of flight. Open Committee Chairs for next year (2015-2016) -  We have several volunteer committee chair opportunities for next year with our PTA.  It's our amazing volunteers who make our programs possible!!
