Safety Reminder for Walkers
As the weather gets warmer we see more of our students walking to school. We love this, but want to remind them of safe procedures for crossing streets. Please talk to your children about always crossing the street in a crosswalk or where there is a crossing guard if possible. If a crossing guard is not located at your intersection, please review with your children the traffic rules and patterns so that they clearly understand when cars are required to stop and when it is safe to cross busy streets. It is always better to take a longer walk to school if it ensures a safer route! Thank you to the many parents who are available to escort their children (as well as many neighborhood children) to school each day!
