During
the month of April the Olive Service Learning Club met several times to
create no-sew blankets for the Project Linus Foundation. The Project
Linus Foundation is a group of volunteers that work with hospitals
across the country to provide hand-made blankets to children who are in
the hospital. The Olive blankets will be received by the Lutheran
General Hospital Children's Wing.
All
35 members of the Service Learning Club shopped and chose their own
favorite fleece fabrics and worked together to create soft works of art
meant to make sick children feel more comfortable! We all had a great
time making them and helping each other do the best work we can do. It
was wonderful seeing all the blankets together being sent off to the
hospital.
