Among other things, studies have shown it can raise a player's IQ and elementary school students who play often score higher on reading tests. OMS is lucky to have it's own Chess Club and we're looking for two co-chairs to make sure it continues! So if you are looking for a brain workout, here is your opportunity! A big thank you to co-chairs Christina Perez and Kris Persons for bringing in entertaining and educational performers for all of our students. The Box Top fundraiser is complete for the year and with the help of chair Gina Groberski, our PTA raised a lot of money by just collecting box tops. Thanks for leading the charge, Gina!
